South Central Baptist Prayer Ministry

As a Network of churches, we believe that prayer should be a priority as we seek to be strong, healthy churches as we work to accomplish the Great Commission. In our Strategy for helping churches, we have established a prayer team that coordinates prayer efforts in which our churches can be involved. There are two major prayer events that we organize every year.

In May of each year, we help organize and encourage the counties in our Network to organize and participate in the National Day of Prayer. This is an effort for the churches in every county to come together to pray for our city, state, and nation. The prayer team also organizes prayer walks for our schools. Through this important prayer endeavor our desire is to help encourage our churches to pray for our schools that God will guide, protect, and work in the lives of the administrators, teachers, and students!

We have also implemented a plan for our churches to pray weekly for each other. We encourage the members of our churches to use the prayer brochure that is found below. Through the cooperative effort of praying for each other, we believe that our churches will be strengthened and empowered by the Holy Spirit so that we will be unified in our mission!
